How To Replace Terminal Springs

Hi, recently I decided to sell my Xbox 360 that I haven't used for 2 years, so when I picked up my controller, I noticed that the terminal battery spring on it was corroded, so I bought a pair of springs, but the thing is, I don't know how to remove the old ones, is there any way to do that?

And if there isn't any way, how do I remove the corrosion from springs?
