How to stick the trackpad plate back on.
I was replacing my battery when i accidentally pulled off the metal plate I am now worrying because i can't get it back on. Help would be appreciated.

Sadly, I have never replaced or fixed a MacBook Pro myself, so I do not know how to fix this personally, but I looked up a tutorial on how to replace the trackpad on your MacBook Pro model and I believe it should tell you what to do, as what you are trying to do is reassemble the touchpad after you accidentally took of the metal shield.

The guide is useful but neither of the guides show you how to put the trackpad back on. I would imagine the weight of the battery would hold the trackpad down thanks though.
At the end of the guide it says follow the steps in reverse, so I would imagine you just put the cover back on with double sided tape, or put it back on with the leftover adhesive left on it and have the battery hold it down, and it should function fine. In the guide, they just peel it like a sticker, and explain how it is mainly a cover. So, I believe you can just stick it back on. Best of luck!
