picture card will not lock down this is CaMedia C-7000 Zoom

Hi. What do you mean by lock down? XD media cards do not feature a 'write protect' like SD cards do. It is possible that the camera card reader is just simply reading it wrong. Back up all of your files from the XD media card and try formatting the XD card within the camera. If the camera still does not read it, try formatting the XD card in FAT on a computer. I don't believe FAT32 would be a good candidate as it may be too new for the camera memory controller.
