I replaced the screen on the iPhone SE it was working fine then when my daughter watched Netflix it heated up and lines appeared across the screen. What does this mean?

The most likely culprit is a defective replacement screen. It could be something else but you need to eliminate the replacement screen first. If you still have access to the original, cracked screen then you could try to re-install it to see if it has the same issue or if it works.
If the original screen works, then contact the vendor who sold you the replacement screen to see if it can be replaced or refunded under warranty.
