I spilled a little wine on the keypad. I wiped. Everything is working fine except for the number "7" button. (had to cut and paste that number while writing this.) So does that mean I have to buy a new MacBook Pro 15" Unibody (Mid 2010) Upper Case?

I would remove the power supply and battery. Remove the upper case, a link to the procedure is below. Then pop the 7 key off and all the keys around it so you can get in there and clean around the 7 key again with a liberal amount of isopropyl alcohol and cotton swab or similar. Might clean it a couple of times while I am in there. Wine leaves a sticky residue that isn't always easy to remove especially in hard to reach places. I believe the residue is preventing the key from completing it's circuit, more than likely hasn't killed it. Let it dry well before reinstalling the upper case. If you can't get the key to work and you need a 7 on your keyboard then the fix is replacement of the upper case, the part is here. Instructions for replacing it are here.

Did you try popping the key off and cleaning under it?

yes. I cleaned all the keys and under too. you think keypad number 7 is shorted? I think it is.. Applecare probably won't cover it?
