Why is my screen blank?
My phone is on, I am receiving notifications, messages and calls but my screen is black, I can't see a thing. The screen flashes when I press the power button or home key. What do I do?

You can try a reboot - Hold the home power and both volume buttons at the same time. Otherwise it's likely damaged and will need replacing

I have exactly the same issue. Just last week, sudden blank screen. Soft reset works, but it takes about 20 minutes for the screen to come back on. It's crazy.
I tried updating all the apps, from Google play, Samsung apps, Samsung themes etc, still no use.
Until! I thought perhaps if the screen was always on, it shouldn't turn off.
So, I went into settings, display, screen ALWAYS ON.
Well, it seems to be working so far, try it and let me know

Great idea. It worked and my phone is back on
