My ipod is locked and I forgot the password
I need help unlocking my ipod touch

If you connect it to the same computer it is "paired" to for syncs, you can force the pass code off:
- Connect your iPod Touch to iTunes
- Press or Hold the power and home keys 10 seconds.
- Screen goes black, now release the power button
- Make sure you do not release the Home key until your iTunes says "We have detected an iPod Touch in recovery mode."
- Restore the iPod
You will, of course lose any content which has not synced back to itunes from the iPod...

David Iwanicki's fix also works if your Ipod is stuck in a loop it is step 4 that saved my ipod 32 gig

Thank you so much, I goggle on how to unlock iPod touch this was best answer by far, I looked like a pro to my son and became the hero :) thank you again.
it is not dislaing the passkey part it says that i connect to itune

try putting wrong password first then hold the lower left button for 5 seconds, then press 3 and hold the lower left button for 2 seconds and repeat... and afterwords when it says wrong password press cancel a message will come up and it will tell you your password is — — — —. (ONLY WORKS FOR IPOD 3G,4g AND IPHONE 4 NO IPOD C OR Cs OR IPHONE 5,5s,6 or 6s
