Headphones not working after lightning assembly replacement

I just replaced my lightning headphone jack assembly on my iPhone 5c. Everything went well and I do not think that I damaged anything. I tested the home button (reason for the replacement- I broke one of the prongs/pins off when replacing the battery) and that worked. Tested Siri, mic, speaker, etc... all worked fine. Attempted to use my headphones a little later and they don't work. Tested multiple sets of headphones and a rca cable to connect to my car stereo and those didn't work. Just a bad headphone jack? Should I open it all up and take a look inside? I can live without the headphones honestly, but would be nice if they worked.

I think your replacement headphone jack is just defective or you did not reinstall it correctly. If you did this repair yourself, I guess open it up again and check out the jack.

Funny that you said the jack was defective.... I just tried charging it for the first time since the repair and I think it may not be charging.... the battery is green like it's charging but hasn't increased in percentage... course I was at 49%...now I am at 47%...the assembly is not charging!!!!!! Any hints? it shows that it is connected, but the battery is not charging. The battery did charge yesterday so I know it is not the battery or the charger/charge cable. Please help!!!!

Charging port is defective. Try getting a replacement one under warranty from where you got it from.
