my car stereo has power, but when i press the power button it wont turn ON

What year, make and model vehicle?
Is stereo stock unit or an aftermarket unit?
If aftermarket what make and model number?
Where have you checked that it has power?
Does it have an inline fuse or a fuse mounted on the case and have you checked that it is OK?
