Obstruction in the charger port

There is something very small that seems to be covering the male part of the charging port, to were it can't have a connection. I have used a flashlight and a bobbyin, I moved the piece of whatever it is over a little, but not good enough for a stronger hold, How can I get the obstruction out of the charger port before my battery dies on me?
