Why is the fan so loud?

No damage on the fan. Computer seems to work fine.

Uh, so apparently the fix was much simpler than opening it up and dealing with hardware. I just used a paperclip and pushed the little pinhole button underneath the laptop to reset the battery, then plugged it into the charger. It started up with no issue, no more loud noise.

@michael5029 there may not be any visible damage but if you look carefully at your fanblade you see that there is a variation in fan speed. This may be caused by the fan itself as well as the tachometer on the motherboard. I'd replace the fan and re-evaluate before trying anything else.

Hi, is it possible that something in the bios could be causing it as well? Also what would I have to do if the tachometer was causing the problem?

that does not sound a like a BIOS issue. If it would have to do with your tachometer then you would need to find a schematic and go through the circuitry. Start with a new fan. The sound coming from your fan is quick and rhythmic to rule it out.
