I just received my tablet in the mail, turned it on and set up passwords ect. I have not downloaded anything yet or used it, but I tried using it today and it is super slow. It has factory everything and no new downloads so I don't understand. Is there a time period that you have to wait before using it so it can set itself up, I've let it set for a week.

Did some research on the internet for you.
The tablet does have decent specs, and I even compared it to other mobile/portable devices.
Are you making sure that you're not running too many apps/programs at the same time?
Also check for updates if you haven't yet! Not updating a device causes it to be slow.
If it's none of those than you should ask other people with that device if their's performs slow too,
But of course note that everyone sees "slow" differently. If an app starts in 30 secs someone can find it slow, others say 5 seconds is slow.

It could also be that the tablet is 100 dollars, and the specs arent actually that good compared to more expensive tablets. It also runs 4.4 Kitkat, when android is on 8.0 i think. So the tablet is pretty old and out dated at this point
That could be an issue yes. But even very old devices like my iPhone 3G that I have laying around can still work smoothly, even though it's outdated.
What is the best size sd card for this device?
@cam2363 I have same problem the one I have is 10 years old I never used it until just now because the tablet I was using a different name brand died on me had to trash it finally got prestige set up but man it took forever I figured it needed up dated so I did even installed a new version of Play store and an app that up dates other apps nothing helped I mean it will freeze and sometimes it takes from 3 to 5 minutes before it goes to what I clicked on so help me I am not kidding I could take a short video and put it on here to prove it I started going down the apps trying to get rid of the ones that will let me but most of them must stay can't get them off. But surely there must be something you can do to improve it a little

I purchased 2 of these and loved the screen and all. It looked awesome and that's about it. I believe wish. I had returned the immediately but I thought it just needed an update or something but boy was I wrong! Years later I believe this table is the biggest scam ever! Straight out of the box it has been one disappointment after another freezing, not responding. I believe anyone who ever purchased one should get a full refund as well as a settlement for false advertising and “emotional distress”! They should be ashamed of themselves!!!!! Garbage

I am wondering the same thing !! So what if it is an older model. It should still run on the internet…. From original posted, did you ever find a way to make it work faster or is it just a dud from the past?

This one is old but I never used it until now took forever to set it up tried to up date take everything off that I could I don't know what more I can do but I am not giving up just yet and I did get the wifi going on it it is so slow I am trying to get my phone on there through the Bluetooth so I can use my phone to do things with it cause I never would get anywhere with it if I tried to use it to click on things trying to improve it

It's always Google not responding Even after it's turned on its 15_20min before it open home page

No it's not Google because I have same problem got my phone right here with my prestige I don't have a problem getting Google or any place else but prestige keeps coming back saying Google is not responding or play store is not responding but I keep clicking on wait until it finally gets it on there so it's not the problem it's something else

I also just bought one and its horrible. It is so slow. It takes about 4 minutes just to turn on and about 5 minutes to load anything. Very dissatisfied and irritated.

I got one as a gift 10 years ago never used it already had one but it was a different name brand. Anyway the one I had been using finally got so bad I had to trash it so I got the prestige out and started to set it up I finally did get it set up but it took forever I mean it is so slow when I click on something I lay it down for sometimes for 3 to 5 minutes before it finally goes to what I clicked on. I am not kidding or exaggerating. I could do a short video on my phone to send you to prove it. Anyway I figured the apps needed up dated I even installed a new version of Play store and even installed a app that updates apps but nothing help it is still slower than a 7-year itch
