1 What does the microphone button do on the top of the device?
I am not sure whether this button is supposed to turn sound on or to ask Alexa a question.

The microphone button will turn the microphones off. You will know that they are off when the light ring turns red. Press this button again to turn the microphones back on.

It will disable the microphone when lit. Just say Alexa to speak to it with microphone on. alternatively press the button with a circle.
