i have a 2nd generation ipod and the dial/click wheel is not working. it won't scroll up/down, stop, play, pause or even turn-off while pressing the play/pause button. but it plays when you put it on the ipod dock station and charges. please help what do i do?

moraleschrislyn , make sure that your hold button is not stuck. If the hold button is okay, replace the click wheel. I would give you the directions to the repair manual, but you forgot to tell us which 2nd generation ipod you have. go here and pick your ipod and let us know if this helped. http://www.ifixit.com/iPod-Parts good luck
