Sim card not fitting properly and not reading
Does the port for the simcard supposed to have a "cradle" that the card snaps into before insertion? Mine is missing if so and the card won't read . What can I do?

According to this video of your mobile tablet, the micro SIM card just plugs straight into the sim card socket. Start viewing from about 1:23 minutes into the video.
Either try your sim card in another network compatible device to prove that it is OK or try another known working, network compatible micro sim card in your device to verify that it works OK there. Basically swap the cards to see what works or doesn't work where.
