LG G3 generates cloudy and hazy images

LG G3 camera generates fuzzy and hazy images. I have tested the phone in warm, low, lighting and cooler, brighter lighting. Areas within the subject focus that are lighter seem to wash all other areas. HDR is off.

I have tried another app (A Better Camera) and replicated the same condition.

Will try another version of Android (currently on Marshmallow) and possibly a custom ROM.

Will likely replace the lens cover on the rear-facing camera, but I'm wondering about whether to replace the front-facing camera. I will clean lens covers, and I am not under the impression the LCD on the G3 has been replaced.

What else should I try and do?
