The lock-release switch is stuck
My SONY VAIO MULTI-FLIP 14A is great and no problems for 3 years until today when the LOCK/RELEASE switch to turn it into TABLET is STUCK. It wont move.
Any suggestions?

it seems that it is jammed so go to the source, in other words you would have to take apart (at least partly), as the laptop isn't the most popular you might have to look at a teardown of a different device in the same series though.

Thanks for advise Adam. I'm great at I.T theory (I.T enterprise grade architect) but not like you guys who are experts with their hands. I'm totally useless with my hands and screw up the simplest jobs. Too scared to go near tear-downs. I will look for a technician. Thnx anyway bro.
btw you can try applying dw-40 on the switch to see if that loosens it, would have written that into my answer but i completely forgot.
Great idea! Just to to let you know most London technicians want around £50 ($65) to loosen it back.
