Laser drive not moving after closing lid after replacement.

So I opened and cleaned my ps3 today, and I made SURE that all the cables were in their respective places. Then I plugged it in and went to test it out.When I pressed the power button,the laser "Jumped a bit"(that is normal at boot,when it is testing it), so that meant that it has power. But when I pressed the sensor button to try it out,nothing happened. It's like the sensor is not even plugged in.But it Is and I doublechecked everything. But nothing...

Please help me, I used up all my money on this ps3 and 3 games, I can't just give up on it.

And any replacements are out of question(exept for ones 5-10 bucks)because as I said

I spent all my money on this ps3... Hope someone can help.

I found the problem. It was one of the flex cables. As I suspected,it was the one that goes to the sensor.

I discovered the problem by powering on the system,then taking the button cable and using it on the sensor

The laser started moving.

If anyone else has this problem, Hope this works!

Hi!

The laser/ drive motor won't move or power up unless the drive door is closed. I suggest that you put it all back together and trowing in a game or something before trying anything else.
