old screen cracked , installed a new one.. no picture

Hey everyone,

Another strange thing happend today..

i have an iphone 5 c , the old screen was cracked , and the digitizer was broken, could not open the phone..

so i ordered a new screen ( from ifixit) installed it ( it is not the first time i replace a screen..) but i don't have picture. no apple logo or whatever...

i tried the old screen ( i had picture but i could't use the digitizer...) but when i installed the old one again , i had no picture as well....

when i connect it to the laptop , itunes recognize the iphone , but it is saying that i have to unlock the phone on the screen ( but thats not possible)

i checked the connectors as well and i don't see anything strange about it...

any suggestions?

With the new screen attached look on the side of the bezel if you have backlight. If backlight is present but no image on creen you have a defective screen ( it happens, just contact iFixit support and they gonna tell yoou what to do next).

If no backlight is present try a force restart with the new screen on, sometimes works.

i have no backlight, already looked at it , forgot to mention it in my question.

i will take a backup and force a hard reset. i have to ask the owners account first, cause it is not my iphone.

already tought to do a hard reset but waited for other suggestions.

when I said hard reset I don't mean restoring the phone, just hold power and home button for max 10 sec until the phone restarts and you see apple logo, if nothing happens in 10 seconds relese the 2 butonns

didn't work... :s

tried 2 times.. after 10 sec i relaesed the buttons.

i think it is the screen thats malfunctioning. i tried another from a working aplle iphone 5 c and now it works fine...

i will return the new screen.....
