No boot up, no display, no beeps though

So first things first, 0 display. My screen was broken a while back, was hooked up to my tv anyhow so I never bothered fixing it, though: when attempting to start up, no sounds. No display. Everything turns on but nothing else. All opticals, screen lights up (all it does) but no external display will work. I've cycled between my living room tv, my desktop monitor, and my bedroom tv and nada. Could it not be waking from sleep mode? I'm mostly clueless with laptops, used to working with desktops. TIA

It could be a problem with static discharge, if so do the following.

1. Disconnect the power cord

2. Remove the battery

3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds, then release for 30 sec and then hold down for another 30sec

4. Plug in power; replace battery and power on laptop.

@paller try pulling the ram sticks one at a time . If one stick goes it stops the works so alternate the sticks

You may also want to try a different cable
