Hello everyone
While replacing the touch digitiser and lcd for my iPhone 4G, I accidentally broke one of the ribbons of the digitiser that go into the mainboard.is there any way to rejoin/fix the broken ribbon. ??

No, I'm sorry to tell you, you need a new display. Fortunately they are quite cheap these days
This is one is oddly in stock, and for Verizon/CDMA you'll have to discern which model iPhone 4 you have. Or just break off the metal feet attached to the plastic frame. I did that a few times

Ok. Unfortunately for me the one that broke was actually a new one.
Sorry to hear that. Could it be done? I mean it got put together. It can be fixed. Do you have all the special equipment to do so? And then finding the part...
No Buddy. No special equipments with me. But I do have a spare orginal display whose lcd ribbon is broken too. But the ribbon is not the one of the digitiser (if you aware there are 2 ribbons - one for the digitiser and another one for the lcd. So currently I have 2 displays both of whose ribbon 8s broken but different ones. Any ideas ?
Ok. If you really want to go this route, instead of buying the new part. You can use heat, I have a special tool called iOpener, which makes it safe for the part. You could use something like a hair dryer? Or a heat gun? But you need to be careful, not to damage the part. It's very easy to do. But to cut, you'll need soft plastic, playing cards will do, or molybdenum wire. Again safety of the part is crucial. Ask if you have any questions. We'll help you
So with heating you could actually join the ribbon ? I do have a braun hair dryer. Could you elaborate more ?
