screen not displaying unless opened all the way/ with screen fickering

Hi:

This is an occurring problem with laptops. You can remove the keyboard and the hinge cover at the left side facing the laptop. The screen cable and back lights go up thru this hinge and will finally get worn. You usually have enough slack on the screen side or the bottom side to pull a bit of the cable either way so the as built area in the hinge kink is in a different place. Tape it secure in the new location if you can some how and put it back together. If you google your laptop model number search for the maintenance manual to get the low down on all the screws to remove.

Good luck. but if this fails then search ebay for a used cable. You will have to remove the display to put on a new cable. Some screens come with a cable attached and you will have to get a new screen. I did not take time to look this up.
