The power on the compaq laptop is not working. The regular power button is not responding.

Hello! IT Pro here....
We need to know if the device suffered any sort of damage.
If the device has not suffered any damage, Please plug in the power adapter and tell me if the power indicator on the front of the laptop lights up.
