Display not working, no startup sound after screen & frame replacement

Hi

I just replaced the screen & frame on my xperia Z3.

The screen doesn't turn on & there is no startup sound.

When i press power it vibrates once but the screen doesn't turn on, after a while a white notification led starts blinking periodically, once a nofitication sound even went off (it was set to no sound on messages & mails),

When I connect it to pc via usb cable it sees it but cannot Access it... it asks to set to mtp which i cannot do since the screen is off/dead.

Doublechecked all the connections... to no avail...

Any suggestions?

Thanks Ben for the input!

It was a blown 0 ohm resistor on the logic board. It seems a pretty usual problem when swaping lcds or a complete frame and lcd like me. Could it be caused by higher power demand of the substitute lcd? Although the lcd itself looks identical to me (it was a cheap 30$ frame and lcd assembly)...

I made a jumper using a tiny piece of copper wire and some conductive adhesive.

Huh I was so relieved when it lit up. Seems to work fine.

Can someone advise me if to replace the resistor or just leave it like this?

The thing is soo tiny and in such an innaceslible place that I fiddled with the jumper for more than an hour... i wouldn't mess with it again if not absolutely neccessary.

Faulty screen / Damaged LCD cable during install or at worst the backlight circuit gone bad on the phone.

So you have made sure that both LCD plugs on the LCD itself are plugged in? One to the logic board and the other on the LCD cable itself? Inspect both the cables for any signs of physical damage / tears.
