JBL PLUSE 2 Only works when connected to USB

I bought this JBL for my boyfriend over year ago within three months of having it the JBL just stopped turning on unless we had it connected to a USB cord. And even then it still might not turn on. Any suggestions on how to fix it or who to send it to, to fix or what the problem might be?
