Why is my ringtone playing, but screen doesnt show anything

Hello! Im having a quite serious problem with iPhone.

First i had iPhone 6+ and every time i do something with the phone (like scrolling facebook) and someone calls me, the ringtone starts to play and nothing shows on the screen. Im not able to press accept or decline call. I can press power button twice so it declines the call.

That was not good, and i bought a new phone. Iphone 5s (screen replaced)

The same thing happens now on that phone.

If you dont understand the problem, i can up a video of the problem.

Hi Nichelmo, I have had this problem before. I'll tell you what's wrong and how to fix it.

It may be because you have been using your phone constantly without giving it a break or having your cell service storage run out...

First, try closing out of the phone app and reopen it.

Second, try restarting your phone.

Third, go to Settings - Display & Brightness - Raise to Wake.

If it's on turn it off, if it's off turn it on.

This worked for me. Let me know if it doesn't for you.

Worked for a few times, now it does it again.

All these sounds like the proximity sensor has gone bad or is blocked (bad aftermarket screens can cause proximity sensor to not work properly.)

How is that possible? Since when the phone is in my pocket and someone calls, i can answer it. But if i play clash of clans and someone calls me, i cant do a $@$*. Ringtone starts to play and i cant even see the caller on phone log.

I'm guessing the phone is getting too laggy to handle a game app to switch to phone call screen?
