S7 Edge Water Damaged Can I Claim Accidental Warranty?

My Galaxy S7 Edge Was Heated Up & In Order To Cool It Down I Just Put It In The Tap Running Water It Cooled Down But After Few Mins. The Power Button Stopped Working.. & Then Suddenly The Screen Starts Flickering.. I Was Scared I Was Unable To Turn It Off Because The Power Button Was Not Working... I Put It In The Rice.. But Unfortunately The Screen Is Dead Now It Just Stays Green... No Any Sign Of Water In The Camera Or Any Other Part Of Phone.. The Liquid Damage Indicator Is still Original No Sign Of Water... It Is Under Warranty + Accidental Coverage So Can I Claim Warranty? & Should I Truly Tell Them What I Did To The Phone? Will They Claim Warranty?

Ana Usama , You pay extra for Warranty + Accidental Coverage, try and use your warranty.

Maybe dont tell them what you did . Just tell them its not working . It also depends who you got the phone through some companies are harder to deal with than others .

@anausama, getting the phone wet is not the problem.

If you see Samsung's own website, they invite you to get the phone wet.

It literally says "Feel Free to Get Your Phone Wet".

I doubt your phone died from water damage.

If your phone heated up to the point that you need to cool it off with water, then there must be an issue with the battery. You can raise that up as the issue to replace the phone.

The rice method is a temporary solution. You would have to take to Cellular Tech, immediately, to see if possible to clean the components or to replace screen. The reason being that even if the screen clears on it's own somewhere down the line the screen will fade every so often before it defects completely. Water or liquid enters onto the components and begins to corrode it over time. If this occurs, you will need to get a Replacement cellphone. If you have Insurance coverage, you will still be responsible for a $225 deductible charge. You will get a new cellphone shipped to you (Exact model) then you need to shipped the damaged cellphone back to insurance company.

@starquest01 Not every Accidental Warranty coverage has a deductible. Some simply cover repairs up to the cost of the phone, or some have a 1 per 6 months replacement policy.
