HDMI screen 3 blank

Not sure what has happen to my laptop, my other half plug it into the tv using a hdmi cable it was working she seems to think it detected a screen 3 and now all we have is a black blank screen on the laptop and tv does anyone know how to get it back

Hi,

You don't state the laptop model number, but what happens if you press Fn + F8 on the keyboard together?

Does slow repeated pressing of both cycle thru the screen(s) at all, i.e TV, laptop TV etc.?

Ensure that you have the HDMI connected to the TV when you do this and that the TV is on the appropriate HDMI input
