Problems after battery replacing (no booting, no charging...)

Hi,

after using my GT-N8010 for some years I realized my battery had to be replaced (long charging time, short duration full load). So I got a Patona 3104 SP3676B1A to replace the original battery (I'm sure it fits for this model).

After the replacement I have those problems now:

  • The tablet will not boot by pressing the power-button - nothing happens.
  • There is no charging indication when I plug it in (PC or charger).
  • Nothing happens when I press the power- and volume-button for 15secs.
  • I checked the ribbons inside the device well!
  • By connecting to the PC, there is no device recognition of the PC.
  • By pressing the power-button I can here a quiet sound of some inside part showing reaction (like a quiet "click").

Any ideas what could be the problem here?

Thanks for any hints in advance!

Does the tablet still work if you put the old battery back in? If so might be a problem with the new battery

Thanks for this hint - I actually tried, but there was also no reaction anymore with the old battery :( So I probably destroyed some ribbon (even though they look good and are conntected "properly" on the marked line) or created some unfortunate static-unloads...

@lorny Looks as if when you were taking it apart you shorted something inside with the battery still plugged in. Did you use metal or plastic tools when removing the battery?

さんによる

@cam2363 That's possible...I used the iFixit-toolkit with non-plastic tools. But to remove the battery connector I did use a plastic tool (and removing this one was the first step after opening the device case).

Hm. Try taking apart EVERYTHING inside of it, excluding the screen. Take it all apart, clean it with alcohol of you want and then put it all back together. That might solve whatever's the issue
