Why is my phone not entering into recovery mode

My samsung A5 is stuck at the Samsung Logo everytime i try to put it on. I tried putting it into recovery mode so i can wipe it. But everytime i use the Volume up + Power + Home button on the A5, The phone comes on showing the Galaxy screen with a faded screen, looking as if the screen is faulty and broken.
