How to clean fungus
there is a fungus in my lens and i want to clean it
Hi,
I am sorry to say that but fungus in a microscope usually means the death of the microscope.
You only Chance is to take it to parts immediately, clean all parts thoroughly and maybe the following might help :
Hydrogen peroxide, or bleach, can be used to kill fungus.
You might try 94% distilled water, 4% clear ammonia (for cleansing) and 2% hydrogen peroxide
Or look for Fungus Cleaning Agent from Carl Zeiss
"Fungusreiniger NEU". INR 0117.362
Good luck !

This guy is talking about a camera lens, not a microscope.
@pccheese - George First, not all people in the world speak English a a native language. So translation may not be exact. This person speaks German (you would have known that if you had bothered to look at him, his guides, that he is a physicist.) Second, the answer is correct for either a camera or a telescope or a microscope. Let's try to cut some slack here! Now remove your negative vote and up vote this answer, lest you risk my wrath fall upon you-
Here's an example of a statement from a non-native English speaker: https://memegenerator.net/instance/54767...
OK, I voted this up. I didn't think it was an expectation to read everyone's summary and look at there guides though. Besides, what I said isn't offensive, I just said that the OP was talking about a camera lens and not a microscope. I use my phone for alot of these answers too, so I may have accidentally pressed the down vote button. I consider myself to be one of the least racist people I know. I don't even think I know anyone who is racist. But my assumptions lead me to think everyone on here speaks English, so I must try to fix that.
Thank you George ;-)
omg, the word H*E*L*L get's censored too....
Gentlemen,
it started with fungus and a not very well written answer.
I apologize for not showing the appropriate respect to Shakespeares language.
But then the discussion went from fungus to racism and even further away from the topic.
I can deal with getting a down-vote for a correct answer - our forums sometimes lack wisdom too.
But if you continue like this, I will say " Macht doch Euren Dreck alleene" ( it might be very educating to find out about the origin of this sentence ) and leave this forum.
Now say "peace and joy to the world" and make a suggestion to solve anjus problem.
Best regards
Klaus

Is the fungus inside the lens or on the outside, and what is the lens model?

If it is a camera lens, I would bring it to professional cleaner.
