1 Replaced charging/minijack flex - home button still not working
Well, first of, I got a problem with a iPhone 5.
After a screen replacement, the home button stopped working, I quickly replaced the buttonparts and I still couldent make it work. Everything looks fine regarding connectors - the pins from the flex cable is matching the "flex" from the home-button.
I have tried shortening the pins with a screwdriver and replaced multiple flex cables but it still not work, is it possible some other connectors is damaged - and in what should I then be looking for?

So does shorting the pins with a metal object simulate a home button press on the phone?

I don't think he said shorting. I think he said shortening

It did not work shorting the pins, meaning i connected the two pins that are supposed to be shortend when you push the home button, nothing happend.
What do you guys think?

Now, I have tried both shortening (the right way) and replacing the whole flex cable (minijack, ligthning etc) multiple times. It still wont work, could it have something to do with the cellular data antenna cable connector being damaged?
