I see some empty slot on the logic board. What's it for and can I stil find one somewhere?

The mac is working fine. The old caps are still in place but I believe is has not had many working hours. So I am not planning to replace them right away.

I am momentarely blasting the cover with thickened waterperoxide and UV licht. It is getting it's original coulor back. If someone wants to know how that goes just ask me.

I ordered two memory slots and a video upgrade card and a battery for 56 euro total but I have to pay 50 for postage too. So is any body has tips they want to share, I am all ears.

I think you're talking about the Processor Direct Slot (LC-PDS)

@danj is this different from a NuBus slot? I don't remember.

さんによる

Yes, it was proprietary to Apple.

If I remember it came out just a bit before NuBus and was intended to be for the small systems. There where two versions of the slot depending on the PowerPC chip in the system. Again if I remember correctly the first was an 8bit bus and the second 16bit wide bus.

I want to post a photo of the motherboard but I don't see that option. But I found this pictur online https://www.google.nl/search?q=motherboa...

It is the empty square in top left from the middle

Here's a better link: Old Computers - Then click on the motherboard to get the full rundown

The square socket is for the optional 68882 math coprocessor
