Is it a resistant or a loop that is right over the battery connection?

That is the filter on the gas gauge line. Yes, it definitely needs to be there.

You could short it out to see if that solves the problem but ideally the part should be replaced. This is a very tiny component and difficult to solder unless you have good tools or lots of experience.

Ideally, you should look for a shop that can do micro-soldering repairs. It shouldn't be too expensive if that is the only fix required.

Hi Minho

I think this filter is the issue that is the problem for my charge problem. I know it is a small soldering, but I also know there is a pendulum that contains metal, that can draw lines that is electric guided? Do you know this pensil?

Thanks a lot for your swift answer

Sorry. Pensil not pendulum

I already answered this question here...Soldering the receptors on battery clip

It would make more sense if you asked follow up questions as comments on the original question rather than spread everything out. That will be more helpful for you and anyone else who may find this in the future.

Sure I know. But i was thinking in the meantime if it is possible to paint the two points with conductiv paint?

aren't you fixing these for customers?

If I paid you to fix my devices, I would expect them to be repaired properly. I would be irate if I paid someone good money to fix my device and they handed it back to me with missing components and a glob of silver paint.

Were these brought to you like this or did you do the damage?

Carsten, I think you are in over your head on this repair (no offense intended). It's not a technically difficult repair for someone who has (even a little bit of) exprience in micro-soldering. That said, you need some decent to good tools and a steady hand (and know where to buy the parts --> DigiKey among others).

There's nothing wrong with not being able to do this and there's nothing stopping you from learning how to do it either. Conductive paints and pendulums or whatever are not the solution though. If you want to learn, there is plenty of info on the web; practice on dead boards before trying to fix a real device.

Otherwise, farm this repair out to someone with exprience; it won't be that expensive.

No offense taken. I bought these ipads from a costomer to repair them and resell them. I was thinking about the paint to make sure that a loop could show me if the filter above the battery clip is the issue?

I have no intend to make bad repairs, only to get knolleged of intrest if the repair can solve this issue. I will not spend good money on repair that is not solving the issue. Then i would rather trash the ipad´s

Have you any proposals to where i can get this issue solved, it is rather expencive in Denmark to get this issue solved. I have contacted a shop they want 70 usd per ipad ?
