Why do I have white and grey lines going across the bottom?

I was setting my alarm and then suddenly several lines started flashing/twitching on the bottom of the screen. The top half of the screen flickers from bright and normal to as if it's about to go completely out white. I have never dropped my phone, it has a case, and I take very well care of it. Very confused, please help.
