4 Having a static issue
Why is my microphone picking up static noise? I tried unplugging it and it is still picking up static

This could be one of many issues. First, it could just be a broken microphone, you can easily purchase a new one and simply replace the part. Other than that, it could also be a broken headphone jack. Before assuming it is broken, use a flashlight and make sure the port is clean because any debris can cause static, or failure of the component. If it is free of debris and it still doesn't work, refer to our device page on how to replace the headphone jack.
