I understand that you are a student, Think of this place like Jeopardy. Answer and question. You made a statement. Also what type of SD card does it use? What sizes are available? Where can you get the right one? Does it need to be formatted before use? Is there a guide on the main device?

I put a 32 gigabyte card in, manually copied all files over except the garmin directory. It works fine but when you turn it on you have to remember to say no to backing up files on the main unit. If you choose yes it will not use the SDCard and revert back to using the units memory to store all POI’s etc.

This is not a fully true answer!!!! You can not read books... you can not listen to stored music nor watch videos or store some other form of misc. files on the Garmin Dezl 770 Trucking GPS! This is strictly a professional GPS. What a bogus answer!
