Need Help: Computer works however on startup I get multiple beeps

The PC works unlike other bios problems that are associated with 4 beeps like black screen however its driving me nuts cant fix it. The Mainboard is old and I have an I5 CPU I was going to use on it however if the mainboard is faulty and cant be repairs I would rather than change the CPU just to remove again shortly after if a new board is needed.

The board is a Pegatron by American Megatrends Inc Version 0300 I have tried taking all the RAM out and testing 1 by 1 no luck memory test came back clear, took out GPU no difference and clear CMOS would updating the Mainboard work its old so struggling to find update to flash it.

Hi,

If it is AMI BIOS 4 short beeps indicate:

System timer failure - The system clock/timer IC has failed or there is a memory error in the first bank of memory.

The above info was taken from this webpage.

Hi Don't know if it is my PC but am I supposed to be hearing the beeps in the video? If so I can't hear anything.

Yeah just went on the video now defiantly working did you hear any sounds at all?

Hi, I had to turn the volume up to 100% but I heard it. I made it out to be 2 short beeps followed by 2 short beeps. Just verifying is it AMI BIOS?

Hi,

Just found something you may want to think about and research before you do anything.

Found these links which show

a) an IPMSB-GS motherboard layout which hopefully is similar to yours. It shows a ROM Recovery connector jumper

https://www.adax.pl/sites/default/files/...

b)This link which describes a 4 beep code for a HP Pegatron mobo stating that it may be a Flashing failed error (checksum error, corrupted image, etc.)

http://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c02...

I know that you have reflashed the mobo but I'm wondering if the ROM recovery connector is correctly positioned etc as well as the Flash override jumper.

As I do not know their correct position I thought that it may be worth mentioning to you to check it out and follow thru. It may lead you astray so apologies. Also the old adage of 'If in doubt , don't" might be the way to go if you are tempted to play with the jumpers.
