Hi, If the phone is compatible with the network that the SIM card is from try a compatible known working SIM card and see if it works in your phone in case the SIM card is faulty.
Thank you for the comments, I'm going to take it in to the network I've had for seven years now, hopefully they'll take care of it. I suspect that the SIM card is just worn out. Just hope they can still get all my stuff off of it, probably should have backed it all up.
Sounds like you need to unlock the phone. Have you used this phone on this network before?
