margo, info supplied by Kodak, Error code 3501 means, Printer access door open.
To fix error, close the printer access door.
If the error continues after you close the printer access door, power cycle the printer:
-Turn off the power (press the On/Off button on the printer).
-Unplug the printer power cord from the back of the printer.
-Wait approximately 30 seconds.
-Plug the printer power cord into the back of the printer.
-Turn on the power to the printer.
