Spots on Sony RX100 image

All images on my Sony RX100 have a spot (dust?) to the right of center. How can we clean the sensor?

@waddie could be dust on the CMOS. The sensor is part of the flex cable which screws on the back of the lens assembly. Remove it and clean it carefully. Let us know if you need more help with this. #60 in the image is the CMOS imager with flex.

This happens because when we change lens then some dust particles come inside of camera. To prevent spots on images you have to clean image sensor of camera. You can clean your camera in 2 ways that is auto cleaning of camera and clean your camera using blower. Check Sony RX100 Manual for detailed view of these both methods.

The RX100 doesn't have removable lenses

@firecastle, you are correct, the RX100 has a fixed lens :-) - but, dust can still be sucked into the camera as when the lens extends/retracts it acts as a bellows. The seals on the camera *should* prevent dust entering the camera, but it can still happen. My RX100 III has just developed what I believe is an internal dust spot :-( Seeing how the spot changes when changing aperture, I suspect the dust particle is maybe on the back of the lens. To fix properly involves disassembly, so maybe best to return to a service centre. There are documented alternatives of 'vacuuming' the lens whilst extending/retracting it to suck out the dust. Of course, that may also then suck more dust into the camera! Use at your own discretion.
