Hold down the sleep/wake button and the home button together for around 12 seconds. This should reset it.

Does it still connect to your computer? If so, restore the settings on it. If not, let the battery drain completely and then connect it to your computer.

the apps are locked, wife doesn't know what she drew? How can I open the apps?

The app lock came back on can I eliminate it?
