3 beeps and/or pressure applied to case causes lines or power shutoff.

Sometimes the computer will simply give me 3 beeps and not turn on. Other times it will boot up normally, but if I apply pressure to the case to the left of the trackpad or lift and move the computer around with any kind of velocity it will display lines like this and either go back to normal after releasing pressure or shut off:

I have tried every kind of RAM configuration and with different verified RAM sticks, and have determined it is not (at least simply) a RAM issue. Also, the battery is not bloated and only has 230 cycles

When the computer is booted up and left undisturbed, it functions normally.

Any wisdom you guys might share would be much appreciated!

See if it is doing the same thing with an external monitor.

Hello.

It looks like you are facing with the cold soldering issue on the legs of the memory socket.

Re-soldering the legs will solve the problem.

How do you do that?

さんによる

@mayer, I think they mean to reflow the pins of the memory socket with hot air.

As soon as i can, i'll upload pictures of that. All you need is a microscope, a fine soldering tip, the flux and solder.

You have to remove the tapes covering the legs to get better view.

We face with this problem at least once a month.

You can't reflow that, the hot air will melt the plastic.

With hand, one-by-one.

I will be very interested to see the photos. I've not done a repair like this and have minimal soldering experience... Thanks @chiio
