Why when download camera apps the camera is upside down?

When I download Snapchat and I get ready to take a picture the camera is upside down. I tired rotating it but it's still the wrong way. I downloaded other camera apps and it's the same way. When I use the camera on the table it doesn't do it. Why is it doing this?
