will not turn on to eject a tape
can not eject a tape, will not turn on even when power cord plugged in, old one, I just want to get the tape OUT to find out what if anything is recorded on it

1949lizzie no reason to use brute force and creating further damage. Here are the instruction on how to remove the tape properly:

just rip the door off it ..to get at the cogs and manually turn them to eject the tape
