TV has picture but no sound!
Our Toshiba TV has picture but no sound! I tried using external speaker but still nothing!

robbie, since we still do not quite know which model your set is, here is a flow chart for a 2009 series 40RV52R, 40RV52RZ, 40RV525R, 40RV525RZ for the "no Audio" error. This is where the importance of knowing what model you have and possibly seeing your boards. Once you have the model number, remove the back (unplug the set of course) and take lots of pictures. Post those with your original question. that will enable us to see what you see. It will also help us to show you where to test etc. Use this guide for that.

This is a question. I am trying to connect a streaming box to a Toshiba 40RV525RZ. It has image but no sound. I did connect a DVD player and had no problem had image and sound. I am only having an issue when I connect the streaming box and the firestick device. Was wondering if I had a sound hub if I will get sound when having a device connected via HDMI. If not how do I change settings to get sound, if that is even possible.

robbie can you see a model or chassis number on the Toshiba TV? Something like 40RV525R or 40ZV650....anything will help:-)

Hi oldturkey03! Our TV is now working. As it turned out it was the gateway box that it was connected to that doesn't work! My cousin figured it out by switching the gateway boxes. Thanks for your concern and input! I really appreciate it! Keep it up!
