Why does my battery have a lock on the battery icon

OK so I ordered the iphone 4s battery replacement for my iphone 4s that the battery keeps going dead on after about 2 hrs after being off the charger.

I replaced the battery today and it came with about 50% battery from the package.

I used the phone for the rest of my work day it did great.

After I got home the battery was at about 16 percent so I plugged my phone into my charger and a lightening bolt showed up on the battery and a (LOCK)?

my phone will not charge.

what should I be looking for.

I can text, make calls... I have wifi, 4g no issues

just now my phone wont charge.

Can you take a picture of this lock? I've never heard or seen it before.

If it is the rotation lock, then he still has the problem with it not charging. Maybe the gas gauge lines are disconnected showing no increase in battery percentage, but it is actually charging. The iPhone 4's are known for battery connector problems. Just replacing the battery could have loosened the connector enough to prevent the phone from receiving the battery level signal.

Hmm. Would need to replace the solder, on the battery connector, on the logic board. It's an old phone, I could see those solder connections going bad
