My mobious doesn't always fire up when I start the car

My mobius has been set up for it to film up when I start my car but occasionally it fails to start leaving me with no footage as I am unaware it failed to start.

someone suggested it might be the engine is pulling to much out of the battery during the start up phase but I have eliminated this.

Any idea's where I can get it looked at ?
