How to fix a frozen nexus 5 touch screen?

My nexus 5 phone was bought from amazon USA with no international warranty. Since yesterday the touch screen is completely frozen, and I tried several software solutions however I think it is a hardware problem since it sometimes response to slight bending of the screen. I want to fix it as the phone is in perfect condition (bought it a year and a half ago) except for the touch of course which is drastic (I can't use my phone at all). I live in Cairo but my sister is traveling to Germany. Any possible solution or shops to fix it either in Cairo, Berlin or Stuttgart? Else a DIY solution?? I am not an expert in electronics but i am up to try anything with well-explained steps.
