Just installed a new LCD and it is still not working

Just over a month ago I posted asking what the issue was i was having with my ipod nano. On recommendation from this forum I bought a new LCD screen. Today i had a go at installing it and i was incredibly careful as to not break it again. Unfortunately when i powered it on it is still not working (see image).

I'm wondering whether the lcd was dead on arrival or maybe if i have damaged some of the connector pins. Thoughts?
